The second one happened sometime ago, with same kind of repairing stuff. I got a laptop from a well settled married lady. In her desktop, there was a picture of her with her male partner during a foreign visit. They didn't seem to be in an acceptable position. I got amazed. I could never guess, I mean people like these are brave enough to leave those private stuffs on a desktop of a computer that they have given for repairing.
Here, I nowhere mean to bother in their private part of lives. I have no problem with the living they have, anyone can enjoy any amount of porn and anyone may use any gadget in any ways! The only striking point in my mind is the possibilities of being misused. The guy in the first incident might leave the laptop at his home, where kids might approach those things easily. The woman in the second, she might face public shame if those pictures some how gets revealed in the internet world. And that is quite possible.
We are in the modern age (at least we claim it to be), but are those things that easily acceptable in our society? No one has forgotten the case of Nepalese Heroine Namrata Shrestha right? Many girls are being blackmailed through misuse of MMS and all and are being exploited over and over again. I still wonder, if we live in a family, can we leave a PC full of 350GB of porn that easily? Does that (old) guy ever think what will happen if his children get into those things in early ages?
These two incidents are just the representatives, but that wakes up a serious issue yet again. Aren't these things indicating towards the digital misuse? Shouldn't we be a bit more sensible in using these things, so that at least children and teenager wouldn't use it in wrong practices? If those things (private pictures n videos) come to public access, it destroys people and families just because of a small carelessness. Shouldn't we keep private things in limited visibility rather than leaving it carelessly anywhere and everywhere?
Life goes on, but do we ever think such small misuses giving huge impact? :)
(Disclaimer : I am not a techno expert writing this piece of writing, just look it for social perspective!!)
